The Mont Aux Sources Estate is committed to building human capital in the Drakensberg region. Two world-class educational institutions operate within the estate — the Academy of Culinary Arts & Hospitality, and The Growers Institute — training the next generation of chefs, hospitality professionals, and agricultural cultivators in a unique live-work environment.
Culinary & Hospitality
A prestigious culinary and hospitality school housed in a purpose-built stone-and-timber building with floor-to-ceiling glass walls. Students train in a state-of-the-art professional kitchen under executive chef instructors, and practice front-of-house service in a formal training dining room. The school's herb and vegetable garden feeds directly into the estate's fine dining restaurant — giving students a complete farm-to-table education. Graduates are equipped for careers in South Africa's finest hotels and restaurants.

Agricultural Science
A professional cannabis and agricultural growers school and research centre. The Growers Institute trains cultivators in aeroponic, hydroponic, and organic growing systems through hands-on laboratory work, greenhouse demonstrations, and formal lectures. Students work directly with the estate's 12-ton aeroponic medical cannabis facility and the smallholding farm — gaining real-world commercial growing experience. The institute also conducts ongoing plant science research in partnership with South African agricultural universities.
